Jake and Nick attend USRA Fall Nationals at Vado Speedway Park

Both Nick and Jake were in action over the weekend at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM for the running of the 22nd annual Fall Nationals, which Jake won a year ago.

The three-day event kicked off on Friday night with Jake racing from 3rd up to win his heat race, while Nick ran 8th in his. Nick then worked his way forward from 12th to finish 7th in the night's b-main, while Jake started 4th in the night's feature and raced to a second-place finish for his efforts.

Saturday night, Jake started 9th in his heat race and raced forward to fourth, while Nick started 8th in his heat and crossed the finish line in 5th. Nick started and finished 2nd in the night's b-main, locking himself into the feature. In the main, Nick started 19th and fell out of the race before the checkered flag flew, while Jake started 14th and charged forward to finish 3rd in the 25-lap event.

Championship Sunday saw Nick start 6th in the C-main and race forward to finish 5th - locking himself into the night's b. In the b, Nick started 17th and raced forward to finish 10th, locking himself into the night's feature race. In the 50-lap, $22,000 to win feature, Jake started and finished third, running inside the top five all event long, while Nick started 22nd and raced forward to cross the finish line in 15th.
