Ricky Weiss races to runner-up finish in The Tennessean at 411

Ricky Weiss returned to the driver’s seat of his G-Style Transport No. 7 Late Model on Saturday afternoon with a visit 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the inaugural The Tennessean.

Drawing 43 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals entries for the third round of the 16-race miniseries, Weiss followed up the third-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a runner-up finish in his heat. Starting the $15,000-to-win A-Main in sixth, Ricky advanced forward four positions in the 71-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He trailed late pacesetter Cory Hedgecock to the checkers with Jensen Ford rounding out the podium.
