Runner-up finish in Connor Bobik Memorial at Marion Center

With the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race pinning him on the seventh row for the feature, Clanton passed eight cars in the 40-lapper to finish fifth. He followed Max Blair, Dennis Erb Jr., Josh Richards, and Tanner English across the line.
For the Connor Bobik Memorial on Friday at Marion Center Raceway (Marion Center, Pa.), Shane stopped the clock second-fastest in his group before picking up a heat race win. Inching forward one spot in the 40-lap feature, Clanton notched a runner-up finish, which came behind Dennis Erb Jr. Josh Richards, Gordy Gundaker, and Jonathan Lee completed the Top-5 finishers.
On Saturday evening at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.), Clanton secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with a heat race victory. After tagging the turn-two wall while running in second early in the race, Shane slipped back to a seventh-place finish when the checkered flag flew.
