Runner-up finish in River Valley 40 at Port Royal

Saturday night saw Skyline Motorsports pilot Shane Clanton enter Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competition at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) for the Red Nininger Tribute. With 42 Late Models on hand, Clanton edged his way into $15,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Holding his spot for the entire distance of the 50-lap affair, Shane recorded a 14th-place outing.

The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Shane followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Brandon Sheppard with an eight-lap heat race victory. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Clanton jumped up two spots in the 40-lapper to place second, trailing Jonathan Davenport to the checkers with Brandon Sheppard, Chris Ferguson, and Stormy Scott rounding out the Top-5.
