POWRi Lonestar 600's Non Wing

Walling and Hjorth Victorious at Gator Motorplex

Saturday night took the Lonestar 600's presented by K & K Earthworks took to the 1/4 mile red clay Gator Motorplex. As the extreme sun and heat beam down clocking in at 101 degrees. The drivers check in for the nights action! Once all the drivers draw in. The lineups post. It's time. Time to get to racing.

Restrictor's get 2 heats. The winners for each heat. Maverick Elkins and Thomas Hall. The 600's start their portion of the heat races. 5 heats divided the drivers up to try and get the most passing points to get them in the redraw. The winners of the heats. Dustin Bottoms, Caleb Martin, Collin Traylor, Chase Brewer, and Colby Stubblefield. The passing points tallied for the Restrictor's and 600's. The lineups post. Leaving the 600's searching for their name to see if they made the A main. 2 B-Mains would get the cars going and it was time to see who would transfer. Top 4 from each B-Main transfer. B-Main winners are Trey Burke and Casey Burkham.

The Restrictor's get to redraw the top 4. And this puts Jarret Hjorth on the pole. The drivers roll onto the track and get lined up. Jarret leads the field around to the green flag. It's called back twice due to wrecks on the track. They line up single file for the 3rd start and the green drops. Jarret jumped out to a demanding lead. to only get it closed up by a red flag for an upside down Dylan Still. Our Ultrashield Safety Crew responds quickly and have Dylan back on all fours quickly. Driver and car are okay. Dylan fires it back up and tag the tail of the field. Jarret leads the field around again for the final green flag run. He stays out front and parks his machine in victory lane. Leading the race from green to checkered.

Next out the main event of the night. The Winged 600's. The drivers pile onto the track and get lined up for their shot at winning the $1,000. Dustin Bottoms redrew the best pill. Landing him on the pole. The drivers pull belts tight. Tighten the field up to take the green. Dustin has a great start to overtake the outside pole sitter, Mike Walling. But quickly gets called back to a parked JC Haddock. High in turn 1, with a missing right front wheel. The field lines back up. And try again. Dustin takes the green again for the second time. The green sticks and we go racing. Dustin leads the first several laps over Mike. The red drops as Isaiah Garcia gets upside down in a 4 car pile up. The Lonestar 600's Ultrashield Safety Crew responds in full force. Check on all drivers involved. Isaiah Garcia, Preston Perlmutter, Trey Burke, and Micheal McNeil all involved. All involved retire for the night. The yellow comes out. All drivers fire up and get back inline behind a fast Dustin Bottoms. Dustin soon looses the lead to a hard charging Mike Walling. Mike makes a pass to take the lead. Mike keeps that lead for the rest of the laps. Mike Walling parks in victory lane for the first time ever with Lonestar 600's. He wins the July Spectacular $1000 to win feature event.

Tonights Pulse Racing Innovations EZ Tear system $25 award for 10th place and running the EZ Tear system- Karson Battarbee.

Our Dragonfly Aviations Hard Charger Award goes to Dan Tucker. Starting 24th and finishing 11th. Passing 13 cars.
