Perseverance and work gets Jake the HardCharger Award
The Tachi Palace Nationals, May 26th and 27th, 2017 - Jake competed in The Tachi Palace Nationals at Lemoore Raceway. He qualified 2nd out of 26 fierce competitors, took 4th in heat, and podium finish at 3rd in main event. Going into Saturday, Jake was sitting 2nd in points only 2 away from first. Unfortunately his fuel injection had issues which left him down on power. He qualified 16th out of 22. Jake and Jared switched fuel injection systems which made things a bit better and finished 6th in the heat. More changes were needed and looked a whole lot better in the main event where he started 16th to finish 5th and take the Hard Charger award. Jake kept strong, pushed with determination, and depended on his driving abilities to come out 3rd overall for the event. Last year Jake won the title and hoped to repeat. It was definitely a heartbreaker but he learns from all challenges and takes this to push even harder.
