A New Outlook for Matt Tifft in 2023
I’m not even sure where to begin.
This was a moment I never thought I’d feel again. 2019 was always this terrible marker of the “last time” I ever got to do this, and clearly not on my terms.
Not sugarcoating it, it’s been hell. Going to the Cup series, having a seemingly planned out career, changed in an instant.
A combination personally between the seizures, going through divorce, feeling lost and alone and unable to do the thing I loved most was terrifying.
I thank God for a second chance. A second chance at love, a chance to get to know Him, and this moment working with my doctors, neurologists, and so many others who have helped me overcome hurdles in this journey to even make this possible.
I am so grateful for my friends, family, my incredible fiancé, my race team, and everything I get to be a part of. The chance to sit down in a racecar again and turn some laps was a moment I will never forget.
While I work with doctors to get clearances at different levels, don’t expect me in any NASCAR event soon, I know you’ll ask, but I looking forward to wherever this takes me.
