Hill Nets Season-Best ASCS National Tour Result During Grizzly Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – BELGRADE, Mont. (July 10, 2018) – Alex Hill had her most successful weekend of the season during her debut in Montana.
Hill kicked off the Grizzly Nationals last Friday by finishing fourth in a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com heat race at Gallatin Speedway. She then won a B Main to transfer into the 17th starting position for the main event.
“On the start we got a couple of guys,” she said. “I was running the bottom the first couple of laps and then moved up. It took rubber about four or five laps in.”
Hill maneuvered to a 12th-place finish, which marked her season-best result with the ASCS National Tour.
She followed it up the ensuing night by maneuvering from seventh to fourth place in a heat race before a 14th-place result in the A Main wrapped up the weekend.
“The heat race was really good,” she said. “We had a good car and went from seventh to fourth. However, in the A Main I fell back a bit, but we gained some spots again toward the end. Everyone was running the bottom, but my car was way too tight, especially going into the corner. I was running high and I started getting better up there as the race went on.
“Those were my best finishes with the ASCS National Tour this season so that was good. After Speedweek (last month) we’ve been doing decent. I’ve gained a lot of confidence within the last couple of weeks.”
Hill is scheduled to make her debut at Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, Wyo., this Wednesday during an ASCS National Tour event before she ventures to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday. Next week’s action begins on Monday at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D., with the ASCS National Tour.
