Hill Eager to Return to Racing This Weekend at Ohsweken Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 11, 2017) – Alex Hill is looking forward to returning to the track this weekend after nearly a five-week layoff from racing.

The recent high school graduate moved to California in mid-August to begin her first year in college, but will return home this weekend to compete in her home track’s biggest race of the year – the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals presented by Arrow Express. Both nights will be hosted by Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, beginning on Friday evening with the Night Before the Nationals presented by Burger Barn.

“I miss racing and I’m looking forward to being able to do it again,” said Hill, who saw her racing schedule for this season greatly curtailed due to injuries suffered in a racing accident at Knoxville Raceway in late May. Since then, she’s only raced three weekends in more than three months. But her return to the track will be at the one that’s the most familiar to her.

“It’ll be nice to be home for a few days and back to racing at the track I know the best,” she said.

Hill recorded her first career 360ci winged sprint car feature win at Ohsweken Speedway on May 19.

It will be a quick visit home for Hill, who will arrive Thursday night and leave on Sunday. She plans to continue racing after this weekend, even though she now lives more than 2,000 miles from home.

“Right now, we’re planning to race at Lucas Oil Speedway (in Wheatland, Mo.) the following weekend,” she said. “I’m not sure about racing after that.”
