MWRA Invades Northwest Missouri For Triple Header Holiday Weekend!
For the first time ever the Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association will invade Northwest Missouri For Three Straight Days of Racing at US 36 Raceway Dirt Track, Friday Night, September 1st in Osborn, I-35 Speedway Winston, Saturday night, September 2nd, and the Bethany Fairgrounds Speedway, Sunday night, September 3rd!
Three big nights of racing which will kick off a seven race September for the MWRA on “The Road To a Championship” in 2023, and the $10,000 dollar first prize for the winner of this year’s championship!
But first things first, three nights of racing in Northwest Missouri for the MWRA at tracks located within a 30 minute radius of each other over the Labor Day weekend will represent races 12 thru 14 on the 18 race schedule for the Midwest Wingless in 2023.
So far in 2023 the first 11 events have been won by 6 different drivers including the point leader Topeka, Kansas, driver Wyatt Burks with 4, 5th place Kory Schudy from Battlefield, Missouri, winning 3, driving the Jon Sawyer Racing machine, and Braydon Cromwell, (Lone Jack, Mo), Chad Goff, (Spring Hill, Ks), Ty Hulsey, (Owasso, Ok), and Wesley Smith, (Nixa, Mo), all ”Parking It” in Victory lane in 2023 with one victory a piece.
While a impressive list of contenders have left there mark in the MWRA in 2023, including teammates, 2nd and 3rd place in points Chad Winfrey and Chris Parkinson from (Gladstone, Mo) racing for Chris Parkinson Racing. Along with 4th place in the MWRA standings Brad Wyatt of (Kearney, Mo) running the Valor Racing 41, and drivers completing the top 12 that include Justin Johnson (Parkville, Mo) 6th, Dakota Earls (Independence, Mo) 7th, Zach Clark, (Olathe, Ks) 8th, Buddy Parker (Wichita Falls, Tx) 9th, in the Linda Weld & Junior Parkinson sprinter, Cromwell 10th, Luke Howard (Overland Park, Ks) 11th, and Smith rounding out the top 12.
Since 2020 the MWRA has conducted 22 races at US 36, I-35, and Bethany. Previously this season Burks on 5/26, and Schudy on 7/21, were victors at US 36. However, this will be the first time the Midwest Wingless Series runs at I-35, and Bethany in 2023.
