Ramey Amasses Two More Top-Fives

SWEET SPRINGS, Mo. – Following up his opening night win at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex last weekend, Gunner Ramey brought home a pair of solid finishes again this weekend at Sweet Springs, taking fourth and third on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
On Friday night, 11 restricted micros were in the pit area, with Ramey starting and finishing fourth in the first of two heat races.
Setting him up with the seventh starting spot for the 25-lap feature race, Ramey was quick to move forward, engaging in a battle for third following a caution with seven laps down. He would continue fighting for the position throughout the event, but could never quite get enough of a run as to make a pass; Ramey was forced to settle for the fourth-place finish.
Saturday’s event saw an increased car count, this time with 15 restrictor entries. From seventh on his heat race grid, Ramey was forced to take a DNF, scored in seventh.
For the main, Ramey took the green from outside the fourth row. Tackling the extremely slick sixth-mile racing surface, he navigated his Honda-powered Pace Chassis by five cars to earn himself a podium finish and his third top-five in as many races.

Ramey is next scheduled to compete on May 9 at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Mo. in the No. 28 600cc micro sprint entry.
