Michael pulls off the triple double weekend

Labor Day weekend started with Frank driving the motorhome and USAC Focus to Las Vegas on Thursday. On Friday night we raced the sprint car in El Paso and ran 3rd in our heat race and 9th in the main. We missed the set up for the main. Saturday night we went to Las Cruces with the Sprint Car and had a bad pill draw and ran 7th in our heat race and started 16th in the main. Michael did a good job and got up to 7th with two laps to go and overdrove the corner and fell back to a final 9th place finish. Sunday morning we were on a plane early in the morning and off to Las Vegas to race the pavement midget. We qualified 4th, ran 3rd in the heat race and we were running 7th in the main with 2 laps to go and a yellow flag came out. Michael go up on the wheel for the green white checkered and brought home a 3rd place podium finish. Big thanks for Tiffany Fegan for her help and especially with driving the big brown bus home on Monday. It was great seeing all our USAC friends and especially spending Michael's birthday with the Turner Family in Las Vegas.
