Bakker, Ledger and Amdahl Score First Feature Victories of Season at Jackson Motorplex

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 1, 2016) – Gregg Bakker, Cody Ledger and Elliot Amdahl each captured their first feature victory of the season at Jackson Motorplex on Friday during EPS Buildings Night.

Bakker and Ledger split the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars double features with Amdahl claiming the Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars main event.

Bakker charged from eighth to open the feature competition by holding off seventh-starting Scott Winters for the win. Thomas Kennedy placed third with Derrik Lusk fourth and 13th-starting Skylar Prochaska fifth.

The top 12 finishers from the first 20-lap main event were inverted for the second feature, which Cody Ledger narrowly made after maneuvering from 22nd to eighth place in the first A Main.

He took advantage of the inversion to score the victory during the second Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars main event. Kaley Gharst advanced from seventh to second place with Matt Juhl third, Prochaska fourth and Bill Boles rounding out the top five.

Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars heat races were won by Boles, Kennedy and Lusk.

Amdahl recovered from a wild flip he endured last weekend by recording the triumph in the Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars class. Colin Smith placed second, Kaleb Johnson third, Nate Eakin fourth and Brandon Allen fifth.

Smith and Amdahl were the heat race winners.

Jackson Motorplex will return to action on Saturday for the weekly IMCA program, which features Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks, Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts and IMCA stock cars.

Tickets for Saturday’s program are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older, $6 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.
