Brandon Overton
Pair of Top-5 finishes in Florida Dirt Nationals at All-Tech
Wells Motorsports and pilot Brandon Overton trekked to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday evening to compete with XR Super Series for the two-day Florida Dirt Nationals. In a field of 38 cars, Overton topped the charts in time trials with an 18.183-second lap before placing first in his heat. After surrendering the lead to fellow front-row starter Kyle Bronson early, Brandon regained the lead from Bronson with a nifty move on lap 24. With Tim McCreadie stealing the lead four laps later, Overton went onto place fourth in the 40-lapper. (Twisted Chassis Photography)
For the $50,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Brandon outdueled Chris Madden in his heat race to pick up the 10-lap victory. Carry a steady pace for all 50 laps of the feature, Overton raced to a third-place finish. He trialed Jonathan Davenport and Kyle Strickler to the checkers.
