Top-10 finish with Xtreme DIRTcar Series at Lake View

Trent Ivey kicked off his 2021 season on Saturday evening at Lake View Motor Speedway (Lake View, S.C.) piloting his Palmetto Pole & Piling No. 88 Late Model for the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series sanctioned event. Drawing 26 cars, Ivey recorded the 10th fastest lap overall in time trials before placing third in his heat race. For the Frostbite 40 on Sunday afternoon at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.), Trent notched a runner-up finish in his heat behind Ross Bailes, sending him into the redraw. Receiving the fourth-starting position, Ivey suffered a flat-tire late in the feature while running in the top-five that dropped him back to 12th when the checkered flag flew.

Trent is currently in fifth in the Xtreme DIRTcar Series point standings.
