Jensen Ford scores seventh-place finish in World 100 prelim at Eldora

Jensen Ford made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon to compete in preliminary action for the 51st annual World 100. With the stout field of 80 cars divided into two groups, Jensen edged his way into the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off on the fourth row of his heat race on Thursday, Ford recorded an eighth-place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the $54,000-to-win World 100, Jensen logged a 12th-place outing.

For the 50th annual World 100 on Friday evening, Jensen followed up the 15th fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. With $10,000 on the line in the preliminary feature, Ford notched a seventh-place finish in the 25-lap affair.

On Saturday afternoon, Ford came two spots shy of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth-place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for one last shot at the $53,000-to-win World 100, Jensen logged a fifth-place finish, missing a transfer spot by two positions.
