Justin begins 2023 season at Vado with Wild West Shootout
Double Duty Motorsports pilot, Justin Duty trekked south to Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) on Saturday afternoon to kick off his 2023 campaign with the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout.
With a stout field of 48 Late Models packed in the pit area for the 17th running of the six-race event, Duty edged his way into the opening night feature with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Justin carried a steady pace in the 40-lapper to finish 16th.
On Sunday, Justin followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat race with a fourth-to-second run in his B-Main. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in 20th, Duty was an early retiree on lap 15. He was scored 23rd on the final rundown.
