HASTINGS COME OUT ON TOP ON NIGHT 2 AT GOV CUP
In the final feature of the evening, pole sitter Mark Dobmeier pulled away from the git go in the NOSA 410 Sprint Car feature. However, once Dobmeier started catching lapped traffic, it allowed second place Jade Hastings the opportunity to catch him. They raced hard in lapped traffic until a caution reset the field. On the restart, Dobmeier pulled away again but a few laps later, Hastings reeled him in. They raced side by side for several laps until Hastings cleared Dobmeier for the top spot. Hastings pulled away and cruised to victory. Mark Dobmeier’s second place finish wrapped up the Gov Cup championship. Brendan Mullen finished third ahead of Wade Nygaard and Nick Omdahl.
