Schuett scores another top five finish at one of Indiana’s baddest bullrings

Dupo, IL (September 5, 2017) With a weekend off from racing with the USAC National Midgets and the POWRi National Midget League, Kyle Schuett and his Schuett Racing team decided to head east to one of the best race tracks in the State of Indiana. Every Sunday night during the summer months, Kokomo Speedway puts on some of the best non-wing sprint car racing in the country. This past Sunday night midgets were also included as part of the Sunday night program. After a hard crash just a few weeks ago at the Mighty Macon Speedway, Kyle thought it would be a good idea to get back on the track and make sure everything was lined out with his Stanton SR-11 powered DRC Chassis.

In heat race action, Kyle started seventh, but made an amazing move to the outside groove on lap one and moved into second position. He quickly passed for the lead and went on to pick up a very impressive heat race win. Based on his heat race, Kyle lined up on the pole of the A-main event. Struggling with a loose race car, Kyle slid back as far as about the eighth position before rallying back to a fourth-place finish. It was a great recovery to the Macon accident and an excellent way for Kyle to shake down the car before a big weekend of racing with the POWRi National Midget League this coming weekend.

On Friday night, Schuett Racing will take the Health Alliance sponsored number 9K to Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois for the Herb Barlow Memorial. Following Friday’s event, the team will head north to Spoon River Speedway for the ever-popular Tom Knowles Memorial. This September Jacksonville/Canton race weekend has been a staple on the midget racing schedule for longer than Kyle has been racing and he aims to add his name to an elite list of winners of both these events. Be sure to follow POWRi Racing and Schuett Racing on Facebook for updates all weekend long.

Kyle and his Schuett Racing team would like to thank all of the sponsors that have made this 2017 race season possible. Thank you - Health Alliance, Progressive Propane Inc, AMSOIL, Hoosier Tire Midwest, DRC Chassis, Advanced Racing Suspension, R & B Powdercoating, Safety Kleen (The Official Environmental Service Company of Schuett Racing, Inc), Diversified Machine Incorporated (DMI), Smith Titanium, Max Papis Inc (MPI), Hooker Harness, Rod End Supply, Steve Thomas Racing, Keizer Wheels, Bergfield Farms, Stanton Racing Engines, and J & K Property Rentals, LLC.
