Trenca Venturing to Outlaw Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway This Weekend
Inside Line Promotions – PORT ROYAL, Pa. (April 18, 2018) – Joe Trenca’s season opener was short-lived last Saturday at Port Royal Speedway, where a problem with the rear end during qualifying ended his night early.
The Mucci Motorsports team fixed the problem in the shop this week and look to rebound during a pair of races this weekend. Trenca will compete with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints on Saturday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., before venturing to Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., on Sunday.
“I’m really excited about this weekend,” he said. “We’ve done really well at Outlaw. I’ve been a bridesmaid a couple of times there. I think we have a real good shot at winning. The changes we made this winter should help.”
Trenca earned his career-best result of second place at the track last season, when he posted a top-10 finish during four of his five races. He also netted a top-10 result during his only race there in both 2016 and 2015.
Trenca has seen similar success at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he has recorded a pair of top 10s.
“I love Selinsgrove,” he said. “I haven’t been there in a 410, but we’ve had some good runs there in our 360. I like the way it races. It’s a cool track. They’ve done a lot of improvements and I’m excited to get down there.”
