Tyler Millwood tackles final East Bay Winternationals with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
With the first night of action postponed due to rain showers, Tyler Millwood checked into East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, FL) on Tuesday afternoon to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With 75 Late Models in attendance for the final East Bay Winternationals, Millwood snuck into the first A-Main of the week by nabbing the final transfer spot in his last chance race. In the quick 30-lap feature, Millwood finished 21st.
Pulling a bad draw for qualifying on Wednesday, Tyler got stuck behind the eight ball all night and was unable to make the A-Main.
For the first five figure payday of the week, Millwood charged forward to seventh in his heat race which relegated him to a B-Main. Needing a Top-2 finish, Tyler recorded an eighth-place outing.
With Monday's make-up spanning multiple days, Tyler went backwards in his heat which buried him in the B-Main which resulted in a sixth-place finish.
Hoping for better luck entering the weekend, Millwood was unable to make the features after ninth and sixth-place runs in B-Mains on Friday and Saturday.
