Millwood storms from 27th-to-sixth in Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park

On Friday afternoon, Tyler Millwood kicked off the Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) with Crate Racin' USA after Thursday's event was lost due to weather.

With a stacked 69-car field on the premises, Millwood rolled off from the second row in the second preliminary feature before struggling and recording a DNF.

Taking a provisional starting spot in the $10,000-to-win main event on Saturday, Tyler rolled off from the 27th-position and powered through the field to finish inside the Top-10 in sixth. Millwood passed 21 competitors in just 30-laps.
