Fireball 50 brings Millwood to Atomic

On Thursday afternoon Tyler Millwood was one of 28 Late Models on hand at Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) for the second round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries. Grabbing the sixth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race, Millwood locked into the 17th-starting position for the $22,000-to-win Fireball 50. With his initial weekend plans nixed by Mother Nature, Millwood headed to Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Ky.) on Friday evening to compete with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat, Tyler scored a third-place finish in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Millwood improved four spots to register a 15th-place finish.
