Brent Marks rallies for top-ten during Wilmot Raceway visit; Attica, Eldora visits ahead
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
MYERSTOWN, Pa. (July 15, 2019) - Despite falling just short of attaining back-to-back top-ten performances during his recent trek through Michigan and Wisconsin, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks put together a sound weekend with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, wrapping up the two-day trip with an 11th place finish at Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan, on Friday, July 12, followed by a tenth place finish at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 13.
Impressive enough, Marks’ top-ten rally at Wilmot was the product of row seven, bumping ahead three spots to finish tenth in the running order. The top-ten appearance increased Marks’ season total to 11.
“Things are very competitive right now. Nothing is given,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “We had a pretty solid weekend, but I’m ready to head back towards home. There is a ton of money on the line over the next few weeks, so our goal is to be well prepared, mentally and mechanically, and hopefully get ourselves back into victory lane soon.”
Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will continue their third, full year on the road with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with a five-race stretch through the Buckeye State beginning Tuesday evening, July 16, with the coveted Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park.
The Greatest Show On Dirt will next invade the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday through Saturday, July 17th through 20th. Action will ignite with the #LetsRaceTwo make-up on Wednesday evening, followed by three straight nights of Kings Royal competition. The weekend will concluded with an unprecedented $175,000-to-win Kings Royal finale on Saturday, July 20th.
Brent Marks will enter the five-race stretch tenth in the World of Outlaws championship standings.
