MYERSTOWN, Pa. (September 24, 2018) – For the first time in his career, Brent Marks earned the right to park on the famous Eldora Speedway victory lane stage, accomplishing that historic feat by bettering the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series during the BeFour The Crowns Showdown on Friday, September 21.

Starting third on the feature grid, Marks did not take command until lap 23 of 30, ultimately running down the Shark Racing entry of Logan Schuchart using the very topside of the speedway. Once earning the lead, it was smooth sailing for the Myerstown, Pa., native, cruising ahead to score his third World of Outlaws victory of the 2018 season, adding Eldora Speedway to a victory list that already includes Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway and Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway.

Marks earned his way into the BeFour The Crowns Showdown by finishing second during his respective heat race.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet. What a night,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/Buckwalter Trucking/No. 19. “I owe this win to my team, all of my dedicated partners, and to my loyal fans back home in Pennsylvania. This has been a special season. Our goal was to be competitive all season long. We wanted to be victorious, but to have three this year, one being at Eldora Speedway, is awesome. Hopefully we can put this momentum to work this weekend when we return to Williams Grove Speedway.”

Unfortunately, Marks' positive momentum ran short during feature action at Lernerville Speedway on Saturday, September 22. A tangle on the outer edge of turns three and four, ultimately resulting in Marks' front end being destroyed, forced the familiar No. 19 to go pit side. Marks was scored 24th after starting 11th.

Up next on the schedule, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ will follow the World of Outlaws to more familiar territory, set to join the Greatest Show On Dirt and Pennsylvania Posse for the annual Williams Grove Speedway National Open on Friday and Saturday, September 28 & 29. The two-day blockbuster will award a grand total of $66,000; $10,000 on Friday and $56,000 on Saturday. The mega payday reflects the 56th edition of the historic National Open.
