Brent Marks charges to a top-ten at Beaver Dam; Knoxville doubleheader next on June 29-30

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (June 25, 2018) - With wet weather interfering with plans to visit Farley (Iowa) Speedway on Friday, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks was forced to wait an extra day to resume World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competition, this time following the Greatest Show On Dirt to Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Marks’ trip to the Badger State was successful. Not discouraged by his ninth row starting position, Marks rallied in a big way, advancing from 17th to finish ninth at the final checkers. The top-ten finish bumped his World of Outlaws top-ten total to 12 on the season.

Marks, a second-year full-timer with the World of Outlaws, qualified for main event action by finishing sixth during his respective heat race; he started eighth.

“The weather hasn’t been our friend this year, but thankfully Beaver Dam was able to get the program in,” Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “Despite starting pretty deep, we were able to move forward and earn another top-ten. The marks in the top-ten column have been increasing and it feels good. I can’t thank my team enough. Their hard work pays off.”

Up next on the schedule, Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will invade Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway for the two-day Brownells Big Guns Bash on Friday and Saturday, June 29-30. The Knoxville takeover will act as a prime test session for the upcoming Knoxville Nationals in August.
