Bryan Hulbert - SOMERTON, Ariz. (May 21, 2022) Getting behind the wheel for car owner, Bob Ream, Jr., this past Saturday night, Washington's Gary Taylor rolled to his second career victory with the ASCS Southwest Region.

A shift from the normal No. 8 that is synonymous with a Ream backed ride, Saturday featured Taylor behind the wheel of the No. 91, with livery to match that of legendary driver, Lealand McSpadden.

Getting the lead away from Stevie Sussex III on Lap seven, Taylor was absolutely untouchable from that moment on, Sussex held on for second with Alex Pettas in tow. Logan Calderwood and Chris Bonneau made up the top five.

The ASCS Southwest Region races next with the POWRi Desert Winged Sprint Car Series at Vado Speedway Park in Vado, N.M. on Saturday, May 28, and, Sunday, May 29.

The event will be shown on https://www.watchfye.tv.

The 2022 season will mark the 31st year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation includes 11 Regional Tours encompassing both wing and non-wing competition.
