Grant Thompson scores Pro Truck win at Mobile
Ace Speedway with Kaden Honeycutt Up Next for BLR
MOBILE, Ala. (08/14/24) – In his second start in the last three weeks as a member of Bryson Lopez Racing, Grant Thompson soared into Dawes Hardware Victory Lane on Saturday night at Mobile International Speedway aboard the Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction, Inc. / Terminal Maintenance & Construction / Dykes Paving & Construction Co., Inc. No. 47 Pro Truck.
The 18-year-old hometown standout drove from the third row to the front at the Alabama oval to secure the 30-lap victory.
“Big thanks to Bryson Lopez Racing for allowing me to race for them,” Thompson said. “They have some top-notch equipment and I am just thankful for the opportunity. I am pretty excited to get them into Victory Lane.”
Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) took on Irvington, Alabama’s Mobile International Speedway on Saturday with three entries across two classes. The Atlanta-based team came away from the 5/8-mile oval with a trio of top-10 finishes, led by Grant Thompson’s Pro Truck victory.
Thompson started the team’s No. 47 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet from the sixth spot in the 30-lap Pro Truck feature and climbed five positions to take the checkered flag. Treyce Capers, Carter Whalen, Maddox Langham and Jake Moore completed the top five.
Meanwhile, Thompson’s teammate Zach Lopez started fourth and finished sixth in his No. 18 Chevy.
In the Pro Late Model ranks, Brandon Lopez qualified second in the BLR No. 6 Chevrolet SS. He ultimately brought home a fifth-place result in the 40-lap feature as he followed Chad Robinson, Steven Davis, Thompson and Clayton Green across the start-finish line.

The zMAX CARS Tour returns this Friday for the AcceleratedGFX.com 285 at Ace Speedway located in Altamahaw, N.C. The tour’s second stop of the season at the 4/10-mile oval includes a 100-lap Pro Late Model feature.
