BABB BEST AT ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY RACEWAY

Farmington, Mo. (April 16, 2016) - One night after a strong run ended with a DNF at Belle-Clair Speedway, Terry Babb rebounded to pick up his first Boss Chassis WAR Series win at St. Francois County Raceway.

At the drop of the green flag, Zach Daum beat pole-sitter Joe B. Miller into turn one to take command. With one lap in the books, the race’s only yellow would come out for a Kevin Petty spin. Daum would again take command on the restart and would lead the first nine laps. Behind him, Miller, Babb and Korey Weyant were having a nice battle for second. Using the high side of the raceway, Babb would move up and eventually get by Daum, who was using the bottom side.

Babb would build a comfortable lead as the racing for second picked up. Miller worked his way past Daum on lap thirteen and Weyant would do the same a couple of laps later. The race for second between Miller and Weyant was a good one, as Weyant would get by on lap twenty-three. Over the final laps, Weyant would slowly eat into Babb's lead, but Babb would win by a few car lengths in his KCBJ Motorsports #8D to take home the $1000 first prize and over $650 in product certificates. Weyant was a strong second, followed by Miller. Daum would run fourth with Clinton Boyles rounding out the top five. For the second straight night, TJ Muths was sixth, followed by Kent Buckley. Kenny Potter, Chris Parkinson, and Katlynn Leer would round out the top ten. Miller was the winner of the Hinchman Racewear heat race, with Daum taking the Wilwood Disc Brakes heat.

Zach Clark was the recipient of the Vahlco Wheels Hard Luck Award after making contact with Tyler Nelson and taking a scary tumble over the backstretch fence and nearly getting into the pit grandstands during the Hinchman Racewear heat. He was uninjured. Nelson, who also flipped, was uninjured as well.

The Boss Chassis WAR Series will be in action again this Saturday, April 23, as they will make their first ever appearance at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO.
