Scelzi Family Featured During Performance Racing Industry Event

Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2018) – The Scelzi Family is heading east this week to attend the Performance Racing Industry trade show, which will feature a special moment for Dominic and his father, Gary.

The spectacle, which runs Thursday through Saturday inside the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, welcomes insiders from all aspects of racing. In addition to the trade show, where businesses showcase their services and products, numerous events are sprinkled throughout the week.

Dominic Scelzi will receive a unique ring to honor his SPEED SPORT World Challenge victory last summer during the famed Knoxville Nationals. The ceremony will be held at the SPEED SPORT booth (No. 4928) on Thursday at noon.

“Winning the SPEED SPORT World Challenge during the Knoxville Nationals was a dream come true and was the biggest victory of my career,” Scelzi said. “I’m extremely honored that SPEED SPORT is giving me a ring to commemorate the special moment.”

Gary Scelzi will be featured on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in a special episode of Legends: The Series, which is a series created by CompetitionPlus.com Founder and Publisher Bobby Bennett. The series has showcased numerous drag racing legends and this Friday will honor Scelzi, who won four NHRA championships during his drag racing career.

“I’ll get up there and talk for a few minutes and then they’ll play a video about my life,” he said. “It’s a special honor for Legends: The Series to dedicate an episode to my life.”

In addition to the special moments for Dominic and Gary, Giovanni Scelzi will also be on hand as the family will meet with and thank sponsors.
