Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (Aug. 11, 2020) – Channin Tankersley is heading north to tackle six straight nights of racing during ASCS Sprint Week.

The Old School Racing driver will compete on Tuesday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.; Wednesday at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.; Thursday at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan.; Friday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; Saturday at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark.; and Sunday at Diamond Park Speedway in Nashville, Ark.

Four of the tracks will be new ones for Tankersley, who has only raced at Creek County Speedway and at I-30 Speedway.

“I always enjoy when we can do it, running new places,” he said. “It makes it worth our while when we have several races in a row like this, too. That justifies it to drive 12 to 15 hours. I think it’s 14 hours to Kansas City for us just to get started.”

It’s a long haul for Tankersley to reach the opener, but that isn’t anything new for the native of Southern Texas.

“The more I look at it if I run ASCS or even USCS it’s going to be six to eight hours for our average drive,” he said. “Hopefully we can put together some consistent nights and we’ll really make the trip worth it.”
