SawBlade.com Backed Bogucki Focused on Strong Finish to ASCS Season at Short Track Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, Mo. (Oct. 20, 2021) – Scott Bogucki will wrap up the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season this weekend at the 34th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires.
The SawBlade.com sponsored driver ventures to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., on Friday and Saturday for one of 360ci winged sprint car racing’s biggest events. The quarter-mile oval is a track where Bogucki is working to find consistent success.
“We want to try to win for a good end of the year,” he said. “I’m just going to go there and try to win both nights. It’s a place that has kicked my butt like Devil’s Bowl used to. I’m hoping it’ll click soon and we can be successful on a regular basis.”
Bogucki earned a career-best ninth-place result during last year’s event, which featured more than 75 competitors.
“With the new format of qualifying in groups that’s the best thing they possibly could do,” he said. “I think it makes the whole event better.”
Bogucki enters this weekend ranked seventh in the ASCS National Tour championship standings despite missing several races this season. His SawBlade.com sponsored team is sixth in the standings thanks to a fifth-place run by Johnny Herrera last Saturday during the Devil’s Bowl Winter Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
Herrera won a heat race and led the first 12 laps of the 30-lap feature before ending fifth.
“He did a good job,” Bogucki said. “I can’t thank him and Jared Sewell enough for helping me. There’s not many people who I’d let take my race car. To get a top five at a national race, they did a great job.”
