DAGGETT STRIKES AGAIN AND STAMBAUGH TAKES HOME THE NORTH

Crystal, MI - The Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro & ARP, made another appearance at Crystal Motor Speedway! Crystal had a fantastic track tonight and our sprints put on an amazing caution free show! The event witnessed high-speed racing and drew an impressive crowd, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the fans, staff, and drivers whose support made this night possible.

Tonight's winner, Dustin Daggett (Grand Ledge, MI) got lucky and drew the second position in the redraw. As soon as he pulled out onto the track, he seemed to put it on cruise control as he jumped out front from the second position and was able to hold and maintain a steady lead the entire race!! Within the pass few laps, it was a battle between Daggett and Max Stambaugh from Elida, OH. The third to last lap, Stambaugh took the lead, then going four-wide, Daggett goes on the bottom and finds his way through back to the lead. Excellent performances were also displayed by Brad Lamberson from Parma, MI who impressively earned the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger award by climbing three positions from 8th to 5th place. Additionally, Kyle Poortenga from Woodland, MI had the honor of being tonight's featured Engine Pro Lucky Dog!

During the qualifying laps the top 6 drivers bet the track record, Mike Keegan from Fremont, OH showcased outstanding performance as the Ti22 Performance Fast Qualifier, setting an track record and an impressive lap time of 12.318 seconds. Close behind was, Boston Mead from Onsted, MI secured the second spot with a lap time of 12.353 seconds, and Daggett rounded out the podium with a lap time of 12.398 seconds.

Chase Ridenour from Perry, MI emerged victorious in the Engler Machine & Tool Heat 1, while Stambaugh wins the Coffey Plumbing and Heating Heat 2!

What an absolutely fantastic Championship Night it turned out to be! We proudly crown Max Stambaugh from Elida, OH, as the well-deserved 2023 North Division Champion! Max's exceptional performance led the field with an impressive total of 2,921 points this season. Stambaugh has consistently shone in the GLSS/NRA series, and his latest victory adds another remarkable achievement to his list. Not only did Stambaugh win the championship he also won tonight's Heat Race 2 presented by Coffey Plumbing and Heating! Close contenders for the championship were Brad Lamberson and Dustin Daggett.
