What a track......
Once again Wesley raced both cars at Springfield Raceway on Saturday night. During hot laps the track was already throwing up dust so we new it would be a bad night for the track. Wesley finished 2nd in the Legend heat and 5th in the Modified heat. As the features were getting ready to roll out it was clear we would be racing in the corn field tonight. Wesley took the lead in the Legend race with about 7 to go and lead till Mike Hailman made a good pass on the outside coming to take the checkered. The Modified feature would be a wreckfest thanks to the terrible track conditions, Wesley stopped to miss a wreck and got run over by a blind driver. As Wesley drove in the pits the damage looked rough but I told him to go back out and he raced to a 6th place finish. Next week we cut back to one car.
