Hall Kicking Off First ASCS Gulf South Season as a Full-Timer This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (March 10, 2015) – Tyson Hall is a full-time competitor for the ASCS Gulf South Region crown this season for the first time in his career.

The chase for the championship kicks off this Friday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas, and Saturday at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas.

“We’re shooting for two top-five finishes,” he said. “We’re going to try some setups we ran down in Florida last month. We basically were trying to make the car a little tighter. It should help us a lot here in Texas.”

Hall said he enjoys racing at Golden Triangle Raceway Park, where he registered his best career finish – 10th – in 2013 during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event.

“That track normally builds a big cushion,” he said. “I like getting on the cushion and going hammer down. We have some good laps there and I like that track so I’m looking forward to Friday’s race.”

Hall’s best result at Battleground Speedway was a ninth-place result with the ASCS Gulf South Region in 2013.

“Battleground is a bit bigger track,” he said. “I’m used to running on quarter miles. It’s more of a momentum track. You have to stay calm and keep the car smooth.”

Hall finished 12th in the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings last season after earning three top fives in limited action.
