3rd Place Finish at Shippensburg Speedway
Morning rain cleared out to make for a great night of racing for the Young Guns 390 Junior Sprints at Shippensburg Speedway. #76 Logan Spahr would come from the third starting spot to win the Heat. With the field packed up tight for the green flag #76 Logan Spahr would set a blistering pace and pull out to a comfortable lead while the rest of the field would battle over the first half of the 20 lap Feature. On lap 13 #76 Logan Spahr would suffer a broken jack shaft as he came out of T4. It was a tough break as Logan was cruising to what looked like certain victory. As the field took the green for the restart #15H Franklin Heinzmann would defend the lead over #17 Hunter Rumburg before pulling away with five laps to go. #18 Jacob Moose would continue to put pressure on #17 Hunter Rumburg in the closing laps showing that he is quickly becoming a threat in the YG390 Series. #66 Zachery Wells would make his first start at Shippensburg Speedway with the YG390’s after making his debut back on June 23rd at Kutztown Fair Speedway. #15H Franklin Heinzmann would take the checkered flag for his third victory at Shippensburg Speedway this season and fourth overall with the YG390 Series in 2010.
