Jackson Plagued with Electrical Issues Again

A great day in Albuquerque was the backdrop of the last race of the season at Sandia Motorspeedway. It was a crazy day. It was the first race in the Legend that I didn't have my main Crew Cheif/Grandfather with me. I got great support from Irwin racing, the Cappello family, the Skaggs family and my main step-in Crew Cheif Robert Sanchez-Armijo. Thank you all so much for your help.

I went out for practice and the car was running fantastic! Unfortunately I forgot to put my transponder on the car so I got a no time for my Qualifying round, so that put me in the 2nd heat position #5. I was able to get to the front pretty quickly and was able to hold off my back-up car which was being driven by my friend Dylan Cappello for the win.

The main started off great as well, the car handeling was better than ever. I started in the #8 spot and was able to get some great passes in there and by lap 15 I was in the lead with a comfortable distance between me and the 2nd place cars that were fighting for position when the red flag came out for the #17 of Dustin Tilbury who flipped coming out of turn #2. When we got started again I could feel that something was going on with my car. As the green flag dropped with 10 laps to go the car just couldn't get underneath me and I went from 1st to last in 3 laps. Unfortunately I didn't win again due to electrical problems, but Dylan Cappello driving my backup car was able to take home his first win in his first race ever in the Legend!

Got to get the electrical fixed for Nationals next week!
