Runner-up finish with World of Outlaws at I-55

Following the second-fastest lap in his 23-car group, Moyer Jr. held off Brian Shirley in his heat race to pick up the win. Receiving the pole position for the A-Main via the redraw, Billy led the opening 28 circuits until event race-winner Dennis Erb Jr. snuck by. He followed Erb across the line in the 40-lapper with Frank Heckenast Jr., Jason Feger, and Brian Shirley completing the Top-5 finishers.
On Saturday, Billy salvaged a sixth-place finish in his heat after his qualifying effort buried him on the fourth row. Needing to place third or better in his consolation event to make the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Moyer Jr. fell short with a fifth-place outing.
The following night, Moyer Jr. stopped at Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, Ill.) for the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Wild Man Kelly Classic. With a third-place finish in his heat race placing him on the fifth row for the feature, Billy faded five spots in the 40-lap affair to finish 14th.
