14th-place finish in Illini Speedweek stop at Lincoln

Drawing a stout field of 56 Castrol FloRacing Night in America mini-series entries, Moyer Jr. fell short of a transfer spot in his heat race with a seventh-place finish, sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the top-three into the opening night feature, Billy recorded a 13th-place outing.
For another $22,022-to-win A-Main on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.), Billy clocked in sixth-fastest in his group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Fading outside the Top-10 in the 50-lap feature, Moyer Jr. recorded a 14th-place finish.
On Friday evening at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) for the MARS Racing Series-sanctioned Farmer City 74 presented by Douglas Dodge, Moyer Jr. missed a transfer spot by one position in his heat, relegating him into the consolation event. Needing to place second or better, Billy logged a sixth-place outing.
To wrap up the inaugural Illinois Speedweek, Billy stopped at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday for the Titan Industries FALS Spring Shootout. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Billy came short of a transfer spot into the $30,000-to-win finale with a fifth-place finish in his B-Main.
