Moyer Jr. visits Magnolia for Clash at the Mag

Billy Moyer Jr. traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Thursday afternoon for the three-day General Tire Clash at the Mag. The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Billy came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Grabbing the second and final transfer spot in his B-Main, Moyer Jr. locked into the 24th-starting position for the A-Main. Improving three spots in the 25-lap affair, Billy posted a 21st place outing.

With preliminary results on Thursday and Friday night setting the grid for the $15,000-to-win Clash at the Mag on Saturday evening, Moyer Jr. fell short of a transfer spot in both his heat and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the finale. Bringing out the first caution of the race, Billy was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap-21 with left-front suspension damage.

Billy remains in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
