12th-place finish in Silver Dollar Nationals finale

Thursday night saw Billy Moyer Jr. return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) for the Dirt Track Bank Go 50. With 46 cars registered in for action, Moyer Jr. edged his way into the opening night feature with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. On Friday afternoon for a pair of heat races, Billy passed one car in the first round to place second behind Scott Bloomquist. Climbing two spots in his second heat to finish fifth, Moyer Jr. sat 11th overall in passing points, locking him into the $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals A-Main on Saturday evening.

Rolling off 11th, Moyer Jr. fell one spot in the 101-lap affair to register a 12th place outing.

Billy remains in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
