Third-place finish in Fall Classic at Ponderosa

After losing Friday night’s event at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) to Mother Nature, Billy Moyer Jr. traveled to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) for the Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Series-sanctioned Fall Classic. In a field of 18 cars, Billy timed in fourth fastest in his time trial group before placing second in his heat behind Camaron Marlar. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Moyer Jr. clawed forward one spot in the 40-lap affair to place third behind Camaron Marlar and Zack Dohm with Mike Marlar and Justin Ratliff rounding out the Top-5. Rejoining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday, Moyer Jr. invaded Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) for the 32nd annual Pittsburgher 100. Drawing 35 cars, Billy followed up the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group with a third place finish in his heat. Starting the $20,000-to-win Pittsburgher 100 in ninth, Billy Moyer Jr. faded back to a 17th place outing in the caution-filled 100-lapper.

Billy sits in 11th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
