Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (April 22, 2019) On the road in Kansas and Oklahoma this past weekend with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products, Blake Hahn picked up a pair of podium finishes in the DriveWFX.com/Sage Fruit No. 52.

“We had a great weekend. We’ve been playing without our setup and getting the balance better in the car, and this weekend at Humboldt and Tri-State, the car felt like I could almost run it anywhere I wanted too. Friday especially, and for the most part on Saturday,” commented Hahn of his weekend.

Moving up from the 11th starting spot Friday at Humboldt Speedway, Blake was able to secure third in the closing laps.

“The track got really tricky towards the end. You had to be careful how you ran the top or you’d end up in the wall. A few times I almost missed the entry and had to stab the throttle to get the car pointed in the right directions, but if I hit it right especially off turn-four, the car would just launch. That’s how I finally got past Wayne [Johnson] for third. He was really good low, so I just had to get my momentum up to get by him.”

Improving his position by one the following night at Tri-State Speedway, Hahn led several laps before finally losing the lead to Matt Covington.

“I was set up for the bottom. That’s where I’ve always run at Pocola and Matt just got me on the top. I tried it a few times, but he could work through three and four better than I could; especially in traffic, but we led laps and just had an overall successful weekend.”

Looking ahead to this week’s slate, Hahn will be at Eagle Raceway on Thursday, April 25 and U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday, April 26 with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network. Saturday is still in the air depending on how the first two nights go.

The 2019 season is Blake Hahn’s 17th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
