TEEN DRIVERS SHOW UP BIG TO CLAIM 3 OUT OF 6 VICTORIES DURING LEVAN MACHINE AND TRUCK EQUIPMENT NIGHT!

YORK HAVEN, Pa.: Lane Snook (16 y.o.) towed into the pit area at BAPS Motor Speedway Saturday night and knew he needed to be at his best against a stout field looking for a first-place check.
At the top of the list was Coleby Frye, Larry Baer, Devin Frey, Travis Mease, and others. But Snook was up to the task and took top honors in the 20-Lap Creekside Auto Sales 358 Late Model feature on Levan Machine and Truck Equipment Night.
It wasn’t an easy ride to the finish. The final margin of victory was 2.451, which seems huge, but Snook had to deal with eight caution flags, which gave the field plenty of shots to steal the win away.
Snook started third on the grid, but his assault on the front of the field was delayed four times because of caution flags on the opening lap. When the event finally got a lap in, Snook was up front ahead of pole-sitter Chad Smith.
There were four caution periods the rest of the way, and Snook had the answer each time. Frey was on his rear deck on most of them, but he had no answer for the brisk pace of the leader.
It was the Mifflintown, Pa., driver’s third feature of the season at the York Haven, Pa., facility and his first top five. Frey, Coleby Frye, Dalton Bigler, and Baer completed the top five.
In the make-up 358 Late Model feature, Scott Palmer started second and took the lead over Frey at the start and claimed the win over Snook, who made an epic charge from 23rd to second.
Travis Mease finished third, with Tommy Slanker and Dan Zechman completing the top five in the main event. There were three cautions in the feature, which was from April 14th.
Billy Logeman took advantage of a wild first lap to claim the 15-Lap 270 Micro Sprint main event. Logeman started seventh on the grid but was up front by the completion of Lap 1.
Lake Laughman, who started eighth, also made a quick surge toward the front, taking second on the fourth circuit. He was able to close on the leader but fell short by .240 seconds at the finish.
Chris Dolan, Tim McClelland, and Jason Klinger completed the top five. Pole-sitter Dylan Pence finished sixth.
In Superior Homes Extreme Stock action, Sammy Rial earned his first victory of the season at BAPS Motor Speedway in the 20-Lap feature.
Like the regular scheduled 358 Late Model main event, cautions dominated action. A total of six took place over the race distance and kept the field bunched up over the race distance.
Rial started on the pole, but he lost his lead on Lap 6 when Patrick McLane blew by. Three laps later, Rial wrestled it back and was never challenged after McLane dropped out while running second on Lap 12.
Brian Walls started sixth and finished second. He was followed by Michael Goodwin, Hunter Fulton, and Will Long.
Tyler Miller (18 y.o) earned the win in the 20-Lap Classic Car main event, and Presley Almoney (16 y.o.) completed the night with a victory in the Scramble Car main event.
