This weekend the Rapid Tire, USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series, Presented by Capitol Renegade, swings back into action this Saturday, May 7th, at the Delaware International Speedway. After a, three week break due to a cold weather cancellation at the Bedfords Speedway, the USAC National Tour “Keystone Invasion,” and a scheduled weekend off the series is excited to get back into action.

The “Keystone Invasion” swing by the USAC National series featured many USAC East Coast drivers trying their best against the countries best. USAC East Coast Drivers found success by collecting quick time awards, heat race wins, and hard charger awards.

As the series begins our trek into the summer months, it is kicked off by the first of four trips to the state of Delaware. Last season’s show at the Delaware International Speedway featured an incredible battle between Steven Drevicki, Billy VanInwegen, Kenny Miller lll, and Alex Bright. VanInwegen appeared to be well on his way to his first series victory until encountering heavy lapped traffic. Kenny Miller was able to pick his way through the traffic, and get by VanInwegen with under two laps to go and score his first career win. Each of the USAC East Coast events at Delaware International have featured plenty of action.

Following the event at Delaware International, the series moves on to our second double header weekend of the season. Friday May 14th the series makes a return to the Bedford Speedway. The series then turns its attention to our second visit to the Grandview Speedway for what is sure to be a can’t miss event.

The Selinsgrove Speedway makes its first of three appearances on the USAC East Coast schedule on May 22nd for the second ever series visit following a successful debut in August of 2020 along side the USAC Silver Crown Series.

From Selinsgrove, it will be a quick turn around for the series as the debut and grand-opening of the all new Bloomsburg Fairgrounds Speedway comes on Thursday, May 27th along side the ARDC Midgets, and winged 360 sprints. Following the series debut, and the first event ever at Bloomsburg, comes the first visit of the season to the Big Diamond Speedway on May 28th to wrap up the month of May.

The fist weekend of June sees the series return to a pair of historic Central Pennsylvania speedways on June 4th and 5th. The second ever series stop at the Williams Grove Speedway kicks off the weekend on June 4th, following a successful inaugural event last August. The next evening, the series returns to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA, following a one year hiatus from the series schedule. The event at Lincoln will also be a wingless double header as the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series will be along side the ARDC midgets, and 410 sprint cars.

To wrap up our month of June, is the second visit of the 10 race stretch at the Selinsgrove Speedway. In prior years, the series would take off for the annual USAC “Eastern Storm” but 2021 will be a bit different. The USAC East Coast Series will run along side, the USAC National Tour on Thursday, June 17th, for a non-wing sprint car spectacular. With a number of teams in the series having a 410 engine for national tour events, look for a number of teams to pull double duty on what is sure to be a phenomenal night of traditional sprint car action.
