Pair of MARS podiums at Farmer City and Fairbury

Taking part in a Labor Day weekend with the MARS Championship Series, Ryan Unzicker unloaded his RJR Transportation No. 24 Late Model at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday night for the $5,000-to-win opener.

Starting the feature in second via a runner-up showing in his heat, Unzicker paced the opening 12 circuits before ultimately finishing third in the 40-lapper.

Notching another podium finish in Saturday’s stop at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Ryan timed in second-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With another $5,000 top prize up for grabs in the A-Main, Unzicker rolled to a third-place outing, which came behind Jason Feger and Frank Heckenast Jr.

Ryan sits in second in the latest MARS Championship Series point standings.
