Unzicker opens Hell Tour with a pair of top-10's

Competing in the DIRTcar Summer Nationals lidlifter, Ryan Unzicker made the short trip to Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Ill.) on Wednesday afternoon for the 38th edition of the Hell Tour.

Resorting to a provisional into the opener after getting off to a slow start in prelims, Unzicker advanced through the field 14 spots in the 40-lap affair to register an impressive sixth-place finish.

Back with the tour on Friday evening at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.), Ryan raced his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place showing in his heat. Recording a top-10 finish, Unzicker carried a steady pace to place ninth.

For another $10,000-to-win DIRTcar Summer Nationals event on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Unzicker took a provisional into the feature but had a night to forget, pulling pitside on the second circuit of the 50-lapper.
