HLR Weekend Recap
Higday/Lange Racing took their team out of state throughout the weekend of 7/17-7/19, racing in Nebraska and South Dakota.
On Friday 7/17 Kendall competed at KAM Raceway in Hastings, NE both wing and non-wing classes. The team had a very successful night bringing home a 5th place finish in the non-wing feature, Kendall's personal best in non-wing competition. She also drove to a 15th place finish in the winged class at KAM Raceway.
Saturday 7/18, the team traveled to Fairbury, NE to race the Roy Cooley Memorial at Jefferson County Speedway where Kendall competed wing and non-wing. She drove the HLR #24 to a 7th place finish in the non-wing B-Feature, missing the transfer to the main event by one spot and pulled off in the winged feature with 3 to go with a sticking throttle, placing her 20th.
Sunday 7/19 came with a last minute decision to head to Brandon, SD to run with the micros at Husets Speedway. While sitting in staging before the feature, the motor died with minimal time to find the issue before going on the track. Jody Rosenboom and his team worked on finding and fixing the issue and got the car running just before the feature cars rolled on the track. Kendall found herself coming home with a 10th place finish in the feature.
Overall, Higday turned over 200 laps throughout the 3 day weekend, ran with some of the best in the micro sprint industry, and proved persistence and growth. The Higday/Lange Racing team will be traveling back west this weekend to compete at KAM Raceway on Friday and Saturday.
