Bryan Hulbert – LAWTON, Okla. (April 16, 2022) Three leaders over 25-laps at Lawton Speedway on Saturday night with the United Sprint League, and the one leading at the end was Steven Shebester.

Steven’s third overall win on the season and second in as many races with the United Sprint League, the No. 16s chased the opening 12 laps as Cameron Hagin, and Tanner Conn traded the point. To second on Lap 6, Shebester tiptoed the tricky cushion in pursuit of the No. 5.

Looking at the lead several times off the second turn, Shebester got the run for the top spot on Lap 13. Untouchable from there, even with a Lap 19 restart, Steven pulled the field by 2.228-seconds at the finish.

Cameron Hagin held on for second, with Tanner Conn rebounding from ninth to third after slipping through the cushion on laps six and seven. Johnny Kent crossed fourth, with Austin Shores from 11th to complete the top five.

The next event for the United Sprint League is Saturday, April 30, at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.

The United Sprint League is the continuation of Wingless Sprint Car Racing in Oklahoma. Founded in 2018 as the Wingless Sprint Cars of Oklahoma, the series was purchased by Terry Mattox and Kerry Gorby in 2022 and transformed it into the United Sprint League.
