USAC WSO SPRINTS CROSS THE BORDER TO WICHITA SATURDAY
Wichita, Kansas (May 23, 2019)………USAC’s Wingless Sprints Oklahoma makes a rare out-of-state appearance this Saturday night, May 25, at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kans., the first of two events at the track this year.
Defending series champ Brett Wilson of Sapulpa, Okla. won the lone appearance at 81 Speedway a year ago. He’s eighth in the standings now coming into the third points race of 2019. Andrew Deal (Caney, Kans.) leads the standings by 24 over Danny Smith (Sapulpa, Okla.), Collinsville, Oklahoma’s Layne Himebaugh (-27), with Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Cameron Hagin (-33) and Kiefer, Oklahoma’s Johnny Kent (-35) rounding out the top-five.
Steven Shebester (Mustang, Okla.) captured the USAC/WSO opener at Red Dirt Raceway in early-April while Deal took the most recent score at Creek County Speedway in late-April.
Gates open at 4pm (Central) on Saturday, with driver draw at the USAC/WSO table closing at 5:45pm. The drivers meeting will take place at 6pm followed by the track drivers meeting at 6:15pm. Hot laps will Immediately follow the drivers meeting with racing starting at 7pm.
Adult general admission tickets are $15. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit passes are $30 apiece.
